Practicals and A reformatted laptop

As I posted a few days ago, I had my laptop reformatted to clear off all the unused data and programs. I didn't think of upgrading my computer but in the end, with a little push from my friend. My computer is now upgraded into a Windows 7 version.
I used to use Vista on my computer but since it clashes with my university's program I had it downgraded into Windows XP and man, it was bad. The graphics of XP and Vista are so much of a difference that one is unable to take the sudden change.
Though, now that my laptop is running Windows 7, the graphics are so much nicer than when it was in XP and I am very grateful of it.
Today was also my 1st day of the winter practicals. I was sent to the urology department with another fellow group mate of mine. There we sat for an hour before they gave us something to do. That something was not a very tough thing. It was folding the bandages and cotton wools into cotton balls.
Pretty stupid huh ? What I found more interesting was that these jobs that we did were supposed to be written down on a book. I am alright if we are supposed to write down procedures such as giving intramuscular injection or something of that sort but when they told me that what I did today (they called it preparation of bandages and cotton balls) are also to be written down I was really astonished.
To add to my disappointment in range of work I was given, I sat there from 12 till 3 with nothing to do. Just sitting there like a vase. To make matter worse, all my friends had already left their respective departments. I was so disappointed.
