Sorry I haven’t been updating for quite a few days. I have been quite busy and was totally exhausted on Saturday night which I usually use to update my blog. So, let me continue from Friday till today.
On Friday, me and my group mates were so nervous while waiting for physiology lecture to start. (our teacher is the lecturer) She is normally punctual for her lectures and has never come into the hall later than 10 minutes till lecture begins. Our friend from another group heard that our teacher wasn’t there when they went to look for her in the morning and it only made us even more nervous.
Finally, when the lecture door from which the teacher normally came in opened and our teacher came in, our whole class jumped in joy and finally exhaled the long held breath. So, in the end we had our teacher giving us the major test with the exception of giving us a computer test. But all in all, we were glad to have her back.
Next on Saturday, the day I have been looking forward the whole week. Since we were going to play a friendly match on that day, I was trembling with excitement. But everything was in a mess as the timetable was mixed up.
Our usual time for training is 7pm to 9pm at the university but since the Malaysian Student Association (MSA) is using the time for competition we opted to have our training at another place from 5pm to 8pm. However, at the last minute, we were told that the MSA weren’t going to use that time slot and we had to use it, so we had overlapping time.
We finally were able to clear things up and this was how it went. From 5pm to 6pm we will have a friendly match, and from 6 to 8 the girls will be having their training at the other center while the guys will have their weekly training at university from 7pm to 9pm.
The changes in schedule made a lot of people confused and I was greatly disappointed when the juniors weren’t able to show up during the match and the training. They are the ones that need the training the most for the upcoming interuniversity volleyball match and were the first to get pumped up, now, they seem to have lost their interest and only God knows why.
On Sunday during the girls training, I found out that we were having the match on this coming Sunday. Upon hearing the news I do not know why but it felt like I have nothing to do with it and when I told my teammate (a experienced player) about it, he said that he felt like we might not even win a single match against the 8 teams that includes us. I could only silently agree and hope that this will not be true as only 4 teams out of the 8 have volleyball players and other teams are just people who wants to have fun.
I guess we can only wait and see while hoping for the best.
